A relative of Helena Bharali on Tuesday alleged that Ghanakanta Gogoi did not turn up for a proposed meeting aimed at resolving a dispute between the two sides.
The relative said Gogoi had been called and telephoned, with an invitation to come and settle the matter through discussion.
The relative alleged that Gogoi had initially displayed a gun and later fired at those present.
The relative said Bharali, referred to as a grandmother in the family, had been hardworking, while another family member described as an uncle was a calm person.
