GUWAHATI: Aspirants collected nomination papers for the posts of vice-president and general secretary of the Assam Sahitya Sabha for the 2027-29 term.
Dr Bipin Chandra Kalita and Jadav Chandra Sarma collected nomination papers for the post of vice-president.
Nayanmoni Choudhury, Dr Sanjib Kumar Sarma and Dr Sahir Bhuyan collected nomination forms for the post of general secretary.
Monday was the last date for collecting nomination forms. More aspirants may collect papers later in the day, reports said.
Candidates must submit their nomination papers to the election committee at the Assam Sahitya Sabha office in Guwahati on November 9 and 10 between 11 am and 2 pm. The committee will scrutinise the papers on November 11 and 12.
