Mumbai, November 6: A bomb threat email targeting Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow, the Bombay High Court and Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse triggered a security investigation on Friday. Authorities later confirmed that the threat was a hoax.
According to a Hindustan Times report, the email threatened to blow up Bachchan’s residence, Jalsa, the Bombay High Court and the Mahalaxmi Racecourse.
The racecourse is scheduled to host a concert by popular singer Diljit Dosanjh later this month. The threat targeting the venue prompted security agencies to take up the matter.
Following the email, security agencies launched an investigation and examined the threat. Authorities subsequently confirmed that it was a hoax.
