Guwahati, November 2: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has cautioned BJP workers against compromising the party’s ideology while expanding its organisational presence in minority-dominated areas.

Addressing party workers at a BJP state executive meeting, Sarma said the party was gradually strengthening its organisational presence in such areas. However, he stressed that outreach efforts must not come at the cost of ideological principles.

He said development work and organisational expansion were important, but the party should remain firm on its ideological position.

The meeting also discussed organisational activities, coordination among party workers and preparations for upcoming elections.
